Thinking with (or, alas, is it through?) dogs has a venerable tradition, with Cervantes and Bulgakov among my faves. The donkey also works wonders!

It took me a bit to figure out that we were anthropomorphizing the dogs here, then I read it again and was delighted by the whole thing. Very cool, Kenneth! Your photos of the fish and chips and of the luminous white building are spectacular. You are a great reader - slow and resonant. I was entranced
